Great BackStory podcast! In 1967 Nigeria was trying to starve out Biafran separatists and world governments were paralyzed about helping. Civilians came together and created the largest airlift in history bringing 60,000 tons of food to an estimated 1.5-2 million people. It also allowed the civil war to go on longer indirectly killing 100,000 more Biafrans.
