Pumped on Trump - Reveal

Great series of interviews with Trump supporters. Over and over supporters talk about his strength. “He projects himself as strong and being a winner.” “We need a strong man.” Trump will be a “benevolent dictator” and straighten things out.

Trump supporters #1 issue is immigration/terrorism. They don’t separate the two issues much. “We live in a dangerous world. We want to know who’s coming in. They’re coming into this country, the bad people, for one reason. That’s to kill us.” They also talk about how political correctness is undermining their safety.

The same person said these two quotes: “We’re tired of political correctness. Sick of it. You know I’m sick of people saying ‘I’m insulted.’ Well you know what, that’s life. We all get insulted. You gotta face it.” and “When you try to tell someone the truth they call you names.” Sounds like she’s insulted when people disagree with her. Her anti-PC belief is more about silencing others than speaking her mind.

The melting pot of 2016 America contradicts the America they know and they’re pissed. This is a substantial number of people and I don’t know how Hillary or Bernie can find a way to tell the story of America so that Trump supporters feel included and safe.
